Green Deal Assessments
From 2012, the UK government made an environmentally-friendly lifestyle both possible and cost-effective. Certain areas are able to not only have energy efficiency improvements covered by the government - such as boiler improvements and PV panels - but you may also sell the unused energy you produce.
NB: Due to changes in Government policy on July 23, 2015, there is no longer Green Deal funding available for customers.
How Does It Work?
An approved Green Deal Assessor will attend to your domestic property and perform an assessment. Following this, the approved assessor will produce a Green Deal Advice Report which will outline the energy efficiency measures of your home. These measures will form the basis for your Green Deal Improvement Package.
Every month, monthly payments will be added to your electric bill - the savings will always be greater than the repayments.
How Is This Possible?
In order to encourage an environmentally friendly and sustainable lifestyle, this is offered to homeowners in certain areas who fulfill certain criterias. Only approved Green Deal Installers are allowed to fit these recommendations.
